Remarks: SEA-NRT Coming into Japan during a high wind storm. Pilots aborted landing on first try. Same senerio the 2nd time but made the landing. Some quick edits on the spot due to camera shake. It was bumpier than it looks ! Poor visibility is due to dust kicked up by strong winds!

Interesting to watch the spoilers on landing--it's almost as though the spoilers themselves didn't know whether to be activated or not! Watch them! Up and down!

As a long time videographer - it is VERY evident that the ride was extremely bumpier that it looked - I could tell..!!!!

The reason the spoilers were flapping like that was because the pilot was still fighting the crosswind. They are linked to the aileron system, so when the pilot makes inputs with the yoke, they move as well. You can see them moving while on approach as well.

A very skilled competent crew landed this one. Great camera control in horrid conditions.
